Fair Redundancy When Work's No More

Additional Week's PayA Tasmanian cleaner was made redundant whilst on workers compensation.

While the state’s legislation is unclear on the issue, the United Voice member wasn’t giving up without a fight.

After discussions with her employer, the union member was able to secure an additional week’s paid leave, on top of her annual 4 weeks, after arguing her case with the backing of United Voice.

Everyone should have a job they can count on, and that means a job which fairly compensates a hardworking employee when they are made redundant.
